Applicant Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Nurtura Connect Ltd uses personal information when you apply for work or register your interest in working with us.

Who we are

Nurtura Connect Ltd is a social-work-led organisation providing children's services workforce and support solutions.

Recruitment enquiries can be sent to admin@nurturaconnect.co.uk.

Information we collect

At the initial application stage we may collect information such as your name, contact details, location, role interests, availability, qualifications, relevant experience, driving information and information you provide in your CV.

We may also ask whether you have a current DBS certificate or are subscribed to the DBS Update Service. We do not ask you to upload DBS certificates or other sensitive compliance documents through the initial public application form.

Why we use your information

We use applicant information to consider your suitability for work with Nurtura Connect, communicate with you about your application, arrange recruitment activity, and progress safer recruitment and compliance checks where appropriate.

We may also use recruitment information where necessary to meet legal, regulatory, safeguarding or record-keeping obligations.

Recruitment and compliance information

If your application progresses, we may request additional information needed for safer recruitment, identity, qualifications, references, right-to-work and role-specific compliance checks.

Where sensitive documents are required, they will be requested through an appropriate secure recruitment process rather than the initial public application form.

How your information is handled

Access to recruitment information is limited to people who need it for recruitment, compliance, safeguarding, management or related business purposes.

We may use trusted technology providers to operate our recruitment systems and store information on our behalf. Those systems are managed as part of Nurtura Connect's business technology environment.

How long we keep information

Recruitment information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the recruitment process, associated record-keeping, legal or regulatory requirements, and the handling of any issues arising from the recruitment process.

Where we wish to retain your details for future suitable opportunities beyond the normal recruitment period, we will make that purpose clear to you.

Your rights

Data protection law gives individuals rights in relation to their personal information. Depending on the circumstances, these may include rights to access, correct, restrict or object to certain uses of personal information and, in some cases, request its deletion.

If you have a question about your recruitment information or wish to exercise a data protection right, contact admin@nurturaconnect.co.uk.

Initial applications

Please do not send identity documents, DBS certificates, bank details or other sensitive compliance documents through the initial application form unless Nurtura Connect specifically requests them through an approved secure process.
