Registered Manager
We are seeking an experienced and committed Registered Manager to help establish and lead Bracken Rise House. This is an opportunity to shape the culture, practice and development of a small children's home, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, relationships, stability and individualised care.

Important information about registration
Bracken Rise House is a proposed children's home and is not yet registered with Ofsted. Recruitment is taking place ahead of the intended opening. The home cannot operate until registration is granted. Appointments and start arrangements will be agreed in accordance with the registration process, role requirements and safer recruitment checks.
Your responsibilities
- ✓Lead the development of the home and support its preparation for Ofsted registration.
- ✓Provide effective day-to-day leadership, management and oversight of residential childcare practice.
- ✓Establish a positive, nurturing culture in which children feel safe, respected and listened to.
- ✓Lead safeguarding arrangements, care planning, risk management and quality assurance.
- ✓Recruit, supervise, develop and support a skilled residential care team.
- ✓Maintain appropriate records, policies, procedures and regulatory compliance.
- ✓Work closely with the Responsible Individual and relevant children's services professionals.
- ✓Promote positive outcomes for children through reflective, relationship-based practice.
What we're looking for
- ✓At least two years' experience within the last five years in work relevant to the residential care of children.
- ✓At least one year's experience supervising and managing staff working in a care role.
- ✓A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, an accepted equivalent, or the ability to meet the qualification requirement within the regulatory timeframe.
- ✓Strong knowledge of safeguarding, children's homes regulations and quality standards.
- ✓Effective leadership, communication, decision-making and professional judgement.
- ✓Ability and suitability to undertake Ofsted's Registered Manager application and assessment process.
